These children, whom we discovered on stage at the official World Environment Day ceremony in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, are undergoing a transformational programme with Pour Cocody, a non governmental organisation.

AFCON 2023, Trigger of Futures

40NOW Project Main Goal
Leverage the continental and global popularity of AFCON 2023 in Côte d'Ivoire by using football, chess, art, healthy recreation and music with women at the forefront, to rally support for local, national, regional and continental efforts in accelerating the implementation of the SDGs and Agenda 2063 by combatting plastic pollution, reaching Net Zero in football, supporting resolution 1325, eradicating malaria, supporting the education of children, creating economic opportunities for women, particularly women in the arts and promoting the socioeconomic (re)integration of out-of-school and disadvantaged children, adolescents and young people.
Some objectifs
- Catalyse the achievement of the SDGs and Agenda 2063 by combating plastic pollution and supporting women's economic equality as a means of achieving Resolution 1325 with governments, citizens at large and local and international partners through art, education, technology, innovation, sport and volunteering.
- Support and improve the adaptive capacity of communities in combatting the vulnerability of out-of-school and disadvantaged children, teenagers and youth to extremist speeches and to recruitment to participate in violence and achieving Zero Malaria through football, chess, and music.
- Promote the UN-led Football for the goals to achieve Net Zero in carbon emissions in all aspects of football while developing the spirit of volunteerism and eco-supporterism to protect our beautiful planet and our beautiful game.
- Create and nurture an environment that promotes innovation made in Africa, entrepreneurship and trade on the one hand, and reward philanthropy and corporate social responsibility in the service of education, sports, peace, public health, gender equality, and environment protection on the other hand.
